THE ART OF CREATIVE PRACTICING

In my courses, you'll always have my enthusiastic permission to take inspiration and copy the included exercises and illustrations as part of the creative process! After all, my intention is to help you become a better artist. By studying and replicating the course content, you'll acquire valuable techniques, develop a deeper understanding of telling stories without words, thoughtful compositional content, along with formulating essential processes that cultivate your creative voice. Practicing the art of copying, or what I like to call creative practicing, will help you establish a strong foundation and open the door to discovering your one-of-a-kind signature style. - Danielle

IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES

Over the course of our time together, I'll guide you through the steps of illustrating delightfully detailed aprons. You'll begin by practicing controlled watercolor splashing and mark-making with a variety of mediums. Then you'll put your mechanical pencil to work drawing pockets, ruffles, and fabric folds followed by a thoughtful addition of watercolor washes. By the end, you'll have gained a better understanding of how to prepare for a new series with fun breakdown exercises, then developing a set of beautiful illustrations.

All my courses include detailed videos and coordinating handouts and worksheets. In this course, the curriculum includes breakdown exercises and projects to prepare for illustrating a series of three watercolor-based mixed media apron illustrations.

Bonus content includes a handout gallery of extra illustrations and a miniature apron sewing pattern and fun ways to embellish and decorate them!

Kind Words.

Made with Love is one of my favorite courses that Danielle has created! I love how playful it is and illustrating the same thing in different ways has really helped me get better at drawing and watercolor. She even talks about mistakes and how to fix them! -Britta G.
